The Project

Kimbia was a software startup that make fundraising easy for nonprofits. We created websites first in WordPress, but then we scaled. We created the Match Day Controllers (MDC), for nonprofits to be able to create their own websites. The controller allowed them to choose color schemes, add their logos, photos, and set up their input forms for donations, as well as set dates for launching their fundraising event websites. Our fundraising forms were easy to place the "snippet" into any website securely. The company was acquired shortly after my exit.

The Problem

The challenge was creating a platform that empowered the Community Foundations, and Nonprofits to administer their own fundraising websites securely, that also rendered in mobile devices. This included everything from customizing their page layouts, adding NPOs, logos, images galleries, setting their fundraising parameters, pre-launch, live, and post-launch pages set to go-live at specific times, plus all the things that go into payment processing.

Results

The GLA app launch and Match Day Controller worked well for the nonprofit clients, and Kimbia was acquired by GiveGab after I left the company.
